Abstract

【課題】接触加工、非接触加工のいずれにも使用でき、加工部分における熱の発生を抑制すると共に、発生した熱の排出作用や、加工屑等の排出作用に優れ、工具保護機能や防腐効果等をも有すると共に、調製が容易な加工用流体を提供する。 【解決手段】媒体中に、フラーレン、カーボンナノチューブ及びナノカプセルから成る群の中から選ばれた少なくとも一種の超微粒子を0.1 %以上、5.0 %以下の重量比で分散させて成ることを特徴とする。媒体中に分散される超微粒子が層間化合物であり、当該層間化合物が、水素、酸素、塩素、フッ素、ヘリウム及びアルゴンから成る群の中から選ばれた少なくとも一種の元素を含むように構成することも推奨される。フラーレン、カーボンナノチューブ、ナノカプセルは、寸法として、直径10〜100nm、長さ0.5〜500nm、純度≧95%、表面積40〜500m 2 /g、アモルファスグラファイト<3%〜5%である。 【選択図】 図1
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid for working which can be used in contact working and noncontact working, can prevent the worked area from generating heat, is excellent in the effect of dissipating the generated heat and the action of discharging working wastes, has e.g. a tool protective function, antirusting effect, etc., and can be easily prepared. SOLUTION: The fluid is prepared by dispersing 0.1 to 5.0 wt.% at least one type of ultrafine particles selected from the group consisting of fullerene particles, carbon nanotubes, and carbon nano-capsules in a medium. It is preferable that the ultrafine particles dispersed in the medium are made of an intercalated compound and that the intercalated compound contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, oxygen, chlorine, fluorine, helium, and argon. The fullerene particles, the carbon nanotubes, and the carbon nanocapsules have a size with a diameter of 10 to 100 nm and a length of 0.5 to 500 nm, a purity of ≥95%, a surface area of 40 to 500 m 2 /g, and an amorphous graphite content of <3 to 5%.
